How Gloucester County Handles Bookings

Gloucester County is one of the few counties in New Jersey that does not maintain its own jail. When someone is arrested in Gloucester County, the booking process begins at the Sheriff's Office. Male inmates from Gloucester County go to either the Salem County Jail at 856-769-4300 or the Cumberland County Jail at 856-453-4818. Female inmates are housed at the Camden County facility, reachable at 856-225-7632. This arrangement means that to find an inmate arrested in Gloucester County, you may need to contact one of these three facilities.

The Gloucester County Corrections Division can confirm custody status. Call 856-384-4630 for current information on where a specific inmate is being held.
